      Missed your posted this Liam.

I don't think you'd get a single collector on here saying those badges were ok with that group. Admittedly SAS isn't my area but one doesn't need to be an expert on SAS insignia to tell some of the real from the fakes. I'm sure my more experienced colleagues will kindly confirm. The cap badge was modern and the titles out and out fakes. It's a shame groups like this are "constructed".

This looks like a perfectly decent airborne helmet, small size though.

Another very nice G&S helmet, Luc. Looks to be in superb condition.

Spotted right on, but not the factory applied paint, and what i personaly think, that it has not the original liner. Screwes are not painted what i expect by a G&S helmet with a original paintjob. But that could be done anytime
Average a nice helmet with original parts.

Interesting comments, Jeroen. Personally I think the liner and straps are fine. It would be nice to see a close-up of the exterior paint.

              Regards,
              Steve

I disagree , IMO it has the factory applied paint, if you expand the size of the pics you will see it has the brownish hue to the thin paint. I would say it has had a net on it for a long period which has left a whitesh residue on the finish of the helmet. Screws on these G&S helmets will chip very easily and often completely of.....Nice Helmet IMO

The sorbo seems to be replaced with rubber. Also, the colour difference between the sweatband and the leather bits on the raised neck pads suggest it is made of bits of different liners.

Not loving the chinstrap either. And how about the date 1942 ??

Appears to be a rather expensive reenactor helmet.

looks promising, but the paint looks a bit off and artificialy aged to me, very clean in the inside and yet the liner shows real age. I would be asking for some real sharp pics from the seller. ..proseed with caution
