Wartime Luminous Para Disc ?

Well, according to the US military, as many as 3 luminous markers could be worn on clothing indefinitely without harm to personnel. Mind you this was by 1944 safety standards. However, they also said , one box of 24 markers must not be carried on the person for periods in excess of eight hours in any one day. And BTW the box was lead lined !
I guess the answer is keep them by all means, but treat them with respect, ie don't sew them to your pyjamas, try to open them, or give them to you kids to play with.

We went today to the Ardennes, and i did a ful box of these Discs in a small display. (La Roche-en Ardenne/Museé de la bataille des Ardennes) Forgot to take a picture.
