I think half the fun of this thread is just poking Owen to make him squeal

I liked it, it was worth the price of admission to see it in the theater. Yes, the story was questionable.....but it's a movie and movies are generally meant to be entertaining. This was. You aren't there to see a historical drama or, lets face it, a great social commentary. It's Transformers only with cool tanks, great uniforms and completely anal detail it's too easy to get wrapped in trying to spot!

What a night and day difference. And the best part is Owen is working both forums like a PR pro.

Perhaps the US guys tend to be a little more star struck?

I'm looking forward to seeing a movie that was made to entertain, not recreate WW2.
From what I hear, great effort was made to make it look as realistic as they could within the boundaries of what is entertaining to a mass audience. Remember balance.

I think many of the critics on WAF would make a technically brilliant film that nobody would pay to see.

          Cheers.

              Fury

Saw the movie today and I give it "Two thumbs up!". Pretty good story line, interesting cast of characters, outstanding special effects, excellent sound track and a pretty decent ending.

This movie was made for 'entertainment' purposes and it certainly is entertaining. Because of who we are on this forum we expect more authenticity. My personal belief is that the people who put this movie together did a very commendable job.
I will go see this one again.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the Luftwaffe overcoat being worn by the American Captain ordering the tanks to cover the crossroads.

The movie is well worth seeing and I might buy the DVD. A vastly better movie than Valkyrie or Monuments Men. Those both sucked.

                  Best job I ever had!

This film has legs and like I say every time you watch it you will see more and more, I hated cross of iron when I first saw it the same as I hated pink floyd but now things are different, maybe you all wish the nazis won lol

To cause such a reaction on this forum I think is pretty funny how many of you collect tactics lol? Perhaps the film shows an umfassender angriff! At the end it's in the reibert have a look

I saw it tonight and really liked it. The German uniforms were terrific.I didn't think it was too dark either . The night scenes were dark of course but the rest looked fine. How about the string veil on the sniper eh, great touch!

Don't let a couple of negative Nancy's ruin something for you.
                          Owen
Come on Owen... now you are resorting to name calling?... calling people that find your movie silly and ridiculous (and they are many) "Nancy's"... which means gay boys or "Homosexuals"... geez... be more of a man Owen and learn to take the heat. Or is it that you can't handle the heat? If you want to be in Hollywood you better learn quickly.

Feeling rather disappointed by the negative reviews

I do hope it wasn't an exercise in self indulgence...........
You should go to the movie just to see the equipment... but don't expect to much of a real story or real history... view it as a comic book and you will actually enjoy it.

We like the same things and talk the same talk.
But my friend I think you are being a wee bit harsh.
We put more into this for collectors than a normal movie would even care to do.

                              Please think about that.

I have to say that looks promising... just the few scenes shown have better cinematography than in Fury unfortunately. Ugh.
