    Old stuff

    I'm not a particularly superstitious person. And being I like antiques and collectibles I think that helps. One day a friend of many years said she doesn't understand how I could bring all those old things into my house not knowing who owned them before (admittedly she does go into a furniture store and buys a whole living room set down to ornaments, pillows, curtains, rugs....just as in the showroom).

    Yet at the same time she and her family have so many skeletons that it would make the bones of a good novel. Anyways, I just replied to her comment that I believed that it's not what comes in that defiles you but what comes out. I think the reference was missed.

      The smaller house is not from WW2 looks to be abandoned about 10 years ago.
      as it still has all items inside chairs ect.

      just strange why its been left with stuff still inside

        It used to be the annex of the Château de Petit Spay where Mr. and Mrs. Nicolet were shot by the SS. It has since been restored but the outlines are still more or less the same as the original building. I still remember the people who lived there ten, fifteen years ago and the barking of their dogs each time we walked up from the bridge but their story is obviously not something to discuss in a forum.

          Ahh so it was there from the war. It has change a little.
          when was that pic from do you know?

          I thought it had been abandoned 10-15 years ago as it has loads of stuff inside.
          I was trying to find out what happend with this house but i could not find out.

            Interesting topic.
            I am visiting this area in May and wondered if you could send me the location of these buildings? I would love to see them during my trip. Also, I have heard that there are still foxholes in the area around St Vith. Do you know if this is correct and if so do you have the location for them?

              The only foxholes i know of is at "Foy" near Bastogne.
              Also some south of Bastogne near Wiltz.

                I visited the Bois Jaques foxholes last year but I was sure that I had seen some pictures of foxholes around St Vith. I am only in the area for a few days so I want to pack in as much sight seeing as I can. Cheers.
