Don't miss the Craig cry video, might get him an Emmy. Ronald McDonald of the Third Reich, probably order a human skull with his Zyklon cans now as he cries about taking your 3000.00 U.S and how sad it all is. Maybe he should add fries and beverages to his site along with his autographed photo's. http://natgeotv.com/za/nazi-war-digg...n-bone-removal

Welcome to Gottlieb Militaria how may I help you?...... I would like a can of Zyklon B, a human skull, and a large coke, nevermind make it a #3 Zyklon meal that includes your signed photo. Got it! please pull up to window #1 will that be cash or charge?... The Nat Geo page is lighting up like a Christmas tree with negatives, over 100 now.

When I was a child I viewed National Geographic as a serious organisation. Calling one of their shows "Nazi war diggers" is a disgrace, and using people like CG in it is even more so. These three people clearly have no idea what they are doing. The way the scene is filmed, and the tears, are sickening to see, as they are clearly artificial.

I would like to clarify something however. There is no requirment to be an archeologist to exhume WWII era bodies, just like there is no requirement to be an archaeologist or doctor to work as a grave digger in a cemetery, or to work in a funeral home. Thousands of WWI and WWII bodies are regularly exhumed in a similar manner all over Europe by offical organisations such as the Volksbund, etc. If the bones are turned over to a cemetery, and any items usefull for identification are passed on to the authorities, then what they are doing is acceptable, and is not grave robing.
While it would be nice to perform a full forensic/archeological investigation for all bodies found, there is no scientific reason to do so, nor any funding, nor for that matter any interest from the vast majority of archaeologists and forensic workers.
Many archeologists or history enthusiats in the UK, US, or living far from the battle areas, dont realise that in many parts of Europe the ground is full of thousands of bodies, and they can not all be exhumed in textbook maner.
When I was living in Croatia, I can tell you that the discovery of WWII bones was in general considered as a major pain in the arse by those who had to deal with them, and no archeologists were fighting to be able to participate in the exhumations. When I found WWII bodies in France, not a single local archeologist, forensic wrker, or even historian, contacted me to find out about what had been found.

What they are doing in this clip is ammateurish, but acceptable, as they are contributing to find a missing soldier. However, showing them on National Geographic as if they are an example to follow, and adding in all the acting and BS is disgracefull.

What garbage. I'm really surprise that National Geographic would be a part of something like this. Yeah, real pro archeologists who can't even distinguish between a femur and a humerus. This is too painful to watch.

I was not sure how people or outsiders would view this, apparently people around the world are screaming all over Nat-Geo's page http://natgeotv.com/za/nazi-war-digg...n-bone-removal The comments which are numbering 100 now and will no doubt grow could kill this show as its hitting social media and if they get at the sponsors this thing could never see the air. The archaeologists already have a petition up with 2500 signatures! https://www.change.org/petitions/the...ger-programs-3

That is worse than I expected. I watched about 2 minutes of that and switched it off.

There are a lot of people whose fathers & uncles went MIA during WW2. The thoughts of these little money grubbers digging up and playing with the bones for the cameras in order to get ratings and self promotion is pretty disgusting. You'd have to wonder how an american audience would react if someone did this with American soldier's remains rather than 'Nazi' i.e. German remains.

from the petition: " and the most egregious encounter in New Mexico, where metal detector enthusiasts dug into the graves of Civil War era soldiers, scattered their bones and removed skulls to put in trophy rooms. "

Total outrageous and disgraceful ghoulish grave robbing.

I wonder where this skull will end up? Perhaps with the Zyklon B display along with a 'Frank' style SSTK.

Its times like this I miss Craig, I would love to hear how he spins this show and his defense of the mess they are making!

what a joke it is with very poor acting, he may have been crying because he knew he could not keep the skull they found and sell it for a 100% profit later!

It appears one of the moderators on the War relics forum is one of the diggers.

If that was my skull I surely wouldn't want CG holding it!

                                Petition signed!
