It is pretty clear that "jackdawson1970" is very close to CG and it is also possible that it is he himself. At any rate, the obvious refusal to take out the picture and the text underneath it on the "Craig Gottlieb" wikipedia site is IMHO very, very bad.

Even measured against CG own admissions, this description "Gottlieb holds the Italian Passport used by Josef Mengele to flee to Argentina in 1949." is a blatant misrepresentation of the truth and to let it stand signals to me that he has no inclination at all to inform the wikipedia users about the truth as he knows it already.

Why is that?

Dietrich there are many threads on the collectors community section where members have been banned/booted for selling fakes on ebay under the guise of they think its original there are some that have been banned for fraud why is it that this "dealer" is not banned its fairly clear why hes hiding under the cess pit and not showing photos or answering questions he wants this thread gone so that he can sell it WHICH IS FRAUD why is he and fellow member kai winkler on this forum which is for collectors to share info well clearly craig is quite literally doing the opposite of sharing information to help the forum and fellow collectors at any rate it really lets the forum down that hes a "lifetime member"

The tampering with Wiki pages is very bad form and as for the self authenticating passport, still held proudly on the CG wiki page, that has got to be worth saving for posterity.

This reminds me why I stopped paying the fee on here.

The underhand and crooked dealings of the person are well documented and known.

How and why is he still able to conduct business? Anyone else would have been blackballed years ago and why is he openly supported here?

He is a disgrace to the collecting community and to all those who wish to uncover the truth about our items.

Crooks like this who seek to cover up fakes, construct false grouping, tunics, hats, documents etc etc etc........ who blows his own trumpet as a champion of the collecting world and has the nerve to have his face shown on every TV and media outlet are a poison in society.

Isn’t the real tragedy here that regardless of all the fraud cases associated with CG – the WAF membership continues to be subjected to him as a member? The same can be said for those other businesses that continue to support him. Military Trader comes to mind. Every collector friend I have who like myself normally enjoy Military Trader - cringe every time they receive a CG advertisement from them via email, see it on the MT website or in hardcopy. I can't imagine if MT is interested in the long game any association with CG is good for business. Then there are the shows. Why OVMS and MAX would continue letting CG in the door as a dealer or visitor is beyond me. Isn’t there language in WAF membership rules, MT advertising rules, OVMS and MAX membership and dealer applications that addresses being 86’d for conduct unbecoming, which is detrimental to the organization, membership and/or patrons? If language like this doesn't exist – why not? CG would seem to be a poster child for having it. If it does exist then why no action?
