Ok, the German veterans are wrong, they wanted to continue the War until Germany was the pile of rubbish it was after the War.

You have an interesting perception of reality. Perception of reality is often more imporant than the actual reality

So, they wanted peace at any price....? I dont think so. The Battle for Berlin proves the will of the German soldier to defend his land....even when all seems lost.

Change that to "even when all is lost" & who's land were the Germans defending in Afrika, Russia, France, etc ?

Most Germans knew the War was lost in '43/44 if not earlier (Rommel & the DAK knew it in '42)....just depended on which front you served. If the attempt had succeeded and peace had followed, pretty sure most Germans would have been happy with that. Of course there were a few that would fight on for that glorious victory

Hmmm.... with soldiers like you the war would be lost before it even began.

It was lost before it began wasn't it ? With (solders ?) Marines like me it would never have started. But when it did start we made sure to finish it. Lucky for You too What unit do/did you serve ?

I would love to engage in an intellectual debate on this with you, but I am assuming you are lacking the prerequisit... and historical knowledge.
