Here are the plaques. It was very hot that day and we were glad to get out of the sun.

After the ceremony the Vets were taken by WW2 military vehicles to a reception hosted by the Mayor.

Here is our group. We were about to set off in a convoy of vehicles to the US cemetry. We were dressed in Khaki Drill tropical weight uniform which was ideal for the hot weather. The girls wore "FFI uniform".

The lads on the Harleys did a great job keeping junctions clear for the convoy to pass non stop.

It was a great way to travel with the wind cooling you off plus you got a great veiw.

The British & US Vets line up to pay their respects.

The Superintendent of the Rhone US cemetry sang the US, British and French National Anthems. This was the first time he had sang "God Save the Queen" and he did it very well. He confessed later he had a crib sheet in his hand just in case he forgot the words

We convoyed up again to return to Le Muy.

While the Vets got their well deserved applause, we threw sweets to the locals children.
