    USS Enterprise Aircraft Carrier

A modeler named Gabriel Suranyi spent 19 years in building a 1:72 USS Enterprise aircraft carrier( CVN 65) . See attached pictures posted on the net. Each aircraft on the deck is already a model itself. Enterprise is a nuclear class aircraft carrier before the Nimitz class carrier arrives.
In Fine Scale Modeler magazine 1987 issue, a fellow named Rick Quinlan builds a 1:72 Nimitz class carrier detailed similar to the extend of the Enterprise carrier. Mr. Quinlan lives in Decatus, Illinois, US. I had also seen some pictures posted on the net of his Nimitz carrier.
Anyone knows how to contact him and please posts some pictures of his Nimitz carrier if you have any to share?

I had a chance to visit CVN72 (Abraham Lincoln) in 90' and I took some photos. Here are some interesting ones:
Since I am boarding the carrier from the rear, the first photo shows the vertical guidance lighting (make it easy for the pilot to line up/ land ) installed at the read of the carrier.
Compare it with the Enterprise model picture.

When I walked close to what shown in this picture, an eager sailor asked me whether I know what this is for. I told him I had already learned from Tom Cruise.

Superb! The only drawback I see is that you need to build a room around the model.

The flight deck of the Enterprise model also includes such tiny details such as the circular shape" tie-down" for the planes.
