      I'm also driving so I think we have enough cars, As long as Dion doesnt drive with me Ill be OK ......Remember Paderborn hahah too bad we didnt find the rings!!!!!

          A good american steak with frites and a good beer .....

          Were where we?
          I think we have enough cars.
          But were do we meet and when?
          When can our american be in Bastogne? That will be the main question. So that we can set an hour.

          And what are we going to do?
          We can better plan it now than discussing it the 16th itself.
          Just my thoughts off course....

            I would love to do some metal detecting, visit La Gleize, go to that militaria show and then the other day visit some museums...

                  I think that's the best we can do: meet at the hotel. I will be there between nine and ten in the morning. Is anyone else arriving around the same time?

                  And maybe it is a good idea indeed to plan what to do on saturday before we arrive there. It will save us a lot of time.

                  Nico: Do you know what is planned in bastogne itself on saturday. I know about the organized walk but are there more things to do that's organized for that weekend.

                          The militaria show is where I wanna go as well. And I think evereybody wants to go to La Gleize for the KingTiger that's there and the great museum. For the rest I don't care that much. I'll let the rest decide about that.

                            ok, Nick, done

                            I think we best divide our things we want to do between the available days.
                            It is impossible to do all things on 1 day. Even driving from Bastogne to La Gleize will take an hour.
                            For me it is the same. I've been in those places since I was 5 years old, together with my ol' man (who will be also coming with me).

                            For that Saturday, we must decide between 2 main options: or we stay in the vicinity of Bastogne (Bastogne, cemetary of Recogne, Bande, Houffalize, Clervaux) or we go to La Gleize and surroundings (Stoumont, massacre at Baugnez.

                            Do remember that if want to go digging, we should take some high boots with us, since it is very wet overhere ( constantlyraining for more than a week now)

                              I got an invitation for that military show. I thought it was on the 17th.
                              I got it on the show in Arlon last month (were my father has a dealer table).
                              The invitation must lay at his place. I must contact him to see when it is, but I'm quite sure it's on the 17th.
                              I will inform later.

                              I can be at the hotel between 9 and 10. No problem.

                              I will try to get some info about the things that are planned in Bastogne that weekend.

                              I would suggest that, if the show is on the 17th in Bastogne, we preserve the 17th for Bastogne and surrondings and that we visit la Gleize on the 16th.

                              We could take off at the hotel, heading for the Baugnez crossroads, then following the original route from the Kampfgruppe towards La Gleize, where we visit the museum.

                              Just a thought off course.

                                I will try to get to the hotel at that time..If not I will ring someone if late. I really want to see the show so we could all go and make it fast and do a walking tour when back in Bastogne?
