On Sunday night Monique and John, who own the Schoonoord, had a go on the Welbikes.

Note Nigel in the background chatting up two girls

    That concludes my update.

    Cheers, Ade.

      Hi Ade,

Super thread as always That was nice bumping into Al Murray. I was about to ask if he owned that jeep he used in the tv series.
Care to elaborate on the statement below!?

I never even had time to "do" the Hartenstien this year, except for a quick look around the new SAS exhibition.

Hi Des, No, I didn't mean I have robbed it in previous years! I meant "walk around it"
Al said he used two Jeeps in series. The first one was so unreliable, they had to replace it with another one.

        Cheers, Ade.

Ade, I didn't mean that. I was curious about the SAS part, as in what SAS exhibition?

Hi Des, two people separated by a common language!

I had a very quick look around the new (But temporary) exhibition as the Museum was due to close. It featured the SAS's role in "Operation Pegasus", the withdrawl of British troops over the Rhine after the batle had ended. They had several figures in SAS kit. There were a fair number of photos on show and some general items on exhibition that the SAS would have used. Sorry no photos

            Cheers, Ade.

Ah, that must be why he calls himself Gary extra extra large!

An awesome thread Ade I really had no idea that you guys would have such large re-enactments over there but I am glad to see it. Keep the memory alive, very well done by all.
