        Steve,

If you are in Melbourne, there is a shop in Essendon that sells repro uniforms and headgear, presume they are Janke tunics, I haven't been out there for quite a while, but I believe it is called EK II Militaria and run by a guy named Garry McDonald. (I don't know what his prices are like though).

        Best wishes from Greensborough,

        Bob

You can get in touch with Bill via his website. Bill Bureau Militaria.com. Bill is very nice to deal with and his items can be more expensive but there worth it.

Scott- Thats why I am trying to find a seller in the Continent! I have dealt with Bill in the past. Nice guy.

Bob, EK Militaria has ludicrous prices - AUS$750 for a repro HBT tunic ?? $145 for a repro sidecap? Thanks for the info, but I'll leave him be thank you very much !

Thanks so far guys, any more info on Euro Janke dealers or the mans details himself?

              Grüß Gott Steve,

You should look at the uniforms that my friend sells:

My 2 cents- consider buying a uniform other than a Janke, they are expensive and are not worth the extra money. They are made out of the best wool of any repro being made today but I don't think that makes up for the poor tailoring, wrong chest pockets and a lack of chest darts are just two of the problems. www.lostbattalions.com is the source for the best repro uniforms, www.hessenantique.com sells the Sturm product which is OK but like Janke, has some tailoring issues (skirt way too long, not angled from front to back, straight sleeves, etc.). Sturm is nice for the price.

Woa,... scary prices you quote Steve, I hadn't looked at his prices, all I knew was that he was selling a lot of repro (as such) as his 'original' stuff was nothing flattering. Thanks for the additional info. It has been quite a while since I have been over there.

                  Cheers

                    Bob,

Welcome to the forum. I've been collecting since I was 18 and have known of you since those early days. You have always had such a good reputation here in Australia.

                    All the best

                      Servus,

I agree with Chris about Lost Battalions being the best with tailoring. I have 3 LB tunics (2 wool, 1 DAK tropical), trousers, Windjacke, Windbluse, Windhose, Bergmütze, etc. Just wish Ed could get a good source of thinner wool.

I agree with Chris P on this one. Janke is way to expensive for what you get. Lost Battalions is what most people in our unit uses.

Thanks to all that replied so far. I should have stated that I wanted to source a Janke Heer Panzer wrap.

Patrick, Rick and I have "spoken". Thanks.

Chris P, I'm after a Panzer tunic, so darts and skirt length are not really an issue. I agree about the wool, I had an SS Panzer wrap from Janke some years ago, but sold it. Stupid me ! It was the bees knees. I have just sourced a pair of black Janke trousers (G'day Mark!), so matching the wool is more of an issue than fine tailoring points.

Bob, I thought your name rang a bell somewhere! Mark just confirmed it. You are indeed well known! EK's repro's are scarily priced and the "original" stuff is average going for better than average prices. I think Aussie dealers are living in a dream world where the internet does not exist ! Crazy.

Patrick, I agree about Lost Battalions uniforms, they are indeed top notch. I do not have any of their wool, but have a Heer tropical set, a Luftwaffe tropical set and a couple of sidecaps etc. I just noticed they have a new section on Heer Panzer wraps. VERY interesting- looks good.

Paul, you are also correct, I would not go for a Janke feldgrau uniform.

So- to tie up some loose ends, The Sturm gear, is that the same company as feldbluse.de and is it the same stuff sold by Bunker Militaria? If so, I have one of Bunkers M36 tunics and is the best I have seen in years. It looks the same as Ricks on Hessen Antiques website.

Lastly if anyone has a Janke Panzer wrap they wish to part with, please let me know !

                            cheers all,
                            Steve

PS Lost Battalions tunic is the same or similar price to that of the Janke sold by Bill Bureau!

                              Hi

Have you had a llok at the stuff that is now coming from China? There are two sellers on E-Bay that sell uniforms, one is called barrylyndon and the other one keith7524fnl I have dealt with both of them, they are top sellers...Barry's Fliegerbluse I just got last week is really excellent, not to heavy, very well made in the correct color ..... and best of all CHEAP!

                              cheers
                              Uwe
