Richard makes some great items - I also believe some of his stuff is Sturm...so it's best to weigh each item independently. Might be good advice regardless of what dealer we are discussing?

a few opinions regarding repro Luft uniforms:

I have a 4 pocket Luft uniform from Richard - great item, well made, great wool of good thickness and color.

I have a Fliegerbluse from Gmax - well made, the wool is more of the "late war" grey color and a little heavier than I'd like.

I've handled the SM wholesale flieger - appeared well made and of good quality wool - too bad the seller is a flake and dealings with him can be very frustrating. He also makes the flieger 1944 Militaria sells

I've handled the Lost Battalions version - again, well made but of thicker wool - good color and a good dealer.

I've handled the Janke fliegerbluse as well - very nice, good wool and a real well made item, just expensive and seems that quality has taken a nose dive.

"Reproducers" out of India = crap - the wool is french blue and the uniforms are somewhat of an officer grade meets dress uniform.

I'm waiting on the latest Sturm version from Volker - I've heard great things and hope to report as such.

      hope this is helpful!

        Reenactment Uniforms

Fischer, thanks for the web address. I have stumbled upon his site before when I was looking for a crusher or Schirmmutze. Because he was in Europe I did not save the page due to anticipated cost and time of delivery. There is one exception, I ordered a '31 splinter smock from Zeugwart, http://www.zeugwart.com/ The quality of the camo is superb.

Mike, how are you doing, its me Bruce up here in St. Joseph. I like the '43 marsh pattern which G-Max produces.

What do you guys think about Schirms and crushers? Who is the go to guy? I got a crusher from Cyrus Lee and it was OK. Good quality craftmanship, but I would have used a better quality wool. His M-43 is very good.

          On the march

Just a small information, I made myself uniforms (mainly for myself 'cause I developp only a pattern of my size and because i'am not full time on it). 2 years ago I sourced the fabric supplier of Janke. This is an old mill in Germany, this factory used to produce for the german army during both world wars.
Then I made contact with Virginia from "On the March", and propose her to buy fabric from this mill (actually I am french but I live on the german border and speak fluently german), and made the connection between both company. Finally Virginia is able to produce stuff as well as Janke at decent price and with a large panel of sizes! She will recieve very soon stone gray fabric (wonderrfull texture), fieldgray plain fabric (and not the twill stuff you can get from Gmax or LB), and "triko" fabric for Offizier uniforms (wonderfull fieldgray heavy twill knitted field gray fabric!).
Really guys , if you want to be sure to get a well cut uniform (she develop pattern from WSS and Heer original uniforms) with fabric in correct shade of fiedgrau, correct density and warp/weft construction : get an item from "On the march"!!

Here, Here! I just got three tunics back from here and they are superb. As soon as i can get the ol' digital camera issue worked out I will get some posts up. I may also ad that she produces the Reichswehr pattern Rock tunic as well. Only down fall is she is a one woman show so it takes time.

I have taken photos with the digital camera, however I have a new empass. I believe I cannot post attachments because I am not an associate member. I tried to get to my pay-pal account to pay, but I cannot get paypal to respond to my request. In the mean time, I can send the pictures to you directly if you would like. I am sorry for the disfunction because there is much I would like to post. I will keep working on it.

                      On the March tunics, M-36

After a great deal of learning I have finally figured out what it takes to post attachments. When it comes to the internet and digital cameras my learning curve is similar to the turn radius of a MIG-21.

I thought I would start with the M-36. I have an original M-36 on the right for comparison in most of the pictures. The On-the-March (hereinafter refered to as "OTM") is on the left. The orignial collar tabs and repo boards are mine. OTM can supply the tabs and the chicken.
