Looking back at the hotel from the Berghof property. If this is trespassing, then for the record, I wasn't actually there.

There were 2 roads going off to the left when I walked from the Tuerken

This gives you an idea of the distance between the Tuerken (small steps on the left which no longer exist) and the path to the Berghof in the distance.

This is taken from the Tuerken steps. As you can see, only one path to the Berghof then. Maybe a second one was added at a later date.. Also notice the total lack of trees on the left of the road and compare with Tim's and my photos..

Tim, what do the 2 yellow signs on either side of the drive to the Berghof location say?

Judging by Tim's recent photo, they are no longer there. My photo is an old fashion paper photo, no digital cameras then...I got my magnifying glass out.....Unfallgefahr onthe top line and then Betxxxxxxxx verboten

Just checked the thirdreichruins website which shows a photo of the Berghof in ruins, taken from Borman's house (above the Tuerken). This clearly shows the other path (the 1st one on the left) which leads to the back or the side of the extended Berghof. The second path in the distance on the photos from Tim and me is in fact the one you see in my period postcards leading to the front entrance and the garage. This other path was obviously added much later in the war during one of the changes to the Berghof.
