If I remember correctly, this was built by monks in the 11th century, used as a hunting lodge by kings in the 16th century and visited by freaks like me in the 21st century!Comment

All being well I will be there in August and I can't wait! My last visit there was in the very early '90's and we also stayed at the "Turken". What a place! I never did take photos of the rooms, have you got any? (keep it clean, if you must 
). If I remember well the bedroom doors open out onto the corridor, which is quite unusual....looked more like a prison or soldiers barracks!
