THE SURRENDER OF THE BELGIAN ARMY!
Belgium has capitulated on May 28th; Belgian officers are receiving instructions from IR90 Commander Oberst Kraiss for their return journey through the German lines. / Satisfied with the conditions, the Officers are leaving the Regiment Headquarters.Comment

(31.5.40 TO 4.6.40) The British Expeditionary Force (BEF) is cut off from the rest of the country, our regiment has moved back to France and along with 20. Infanterie Division remained stationed at the Dunkirk Pocket perimeter until the French Army thin defence line finally ruptures on June 4th as the last British troops were wearily clambered on board a packed ship bound for England.
In the meantime, life continues as usual for the off duty soldiers and men away from the Frontline;
