    Dietrich ring

Looking closer, you might be right. It's a different ring than the one I have shown in the close-up. Maybe in fact the "LAH"-Eagle!

If I remember correctly he is wearing the ring hown above during the visit at the Berghof in Jan. 1944. I will prepare a close up scan tomorrow.

      Ring Feb. 1944

Here the close-up of the ring Sepp is wearing in Feb. 1944 at the OL presentation to Teddy Wisch.

Hard to tell really, but it could be the one he is wearing in the Charkov picture. The resolution on this "Hoffmann" photo probably sent to Teddy by Günsche, as part of the official OL presentation photos, is not that great really in original. Hence the poor resolution on this close-up.

        Ring 2

And here a ring which he is wearing post-war.

Looks more like the one I posted earlier, which bears something like a family seal? Can anyone shad some more insight?

No touch of the green eyed mosnter on my part - just delighted to see such wonderful things - each a part of history.

                    Thanks gents.

Thanks a lot! I have enjoyed building this group for approx. 10 years now. During the process I have learnt so much about the LAH´s history & it's individuals (in part personally in meetings). It's been a lot of fun focussing, though sometimes frustrating when considering what the money for the docs, photos, etc. could have bought in a different field of the hobby instead.

By the way, I am framing more and more docs, but in order to not risk damaging the originals, I have them scanned in hi-res and profressionally printed. The originals are securely locked away.
