        Hi Kev,

The release date is therefore scheduled for April 28, 2012.

I posted this in a different thread and thought it belonged here as well...

          Some of the 2011 acquisitions:

          Center: <O</O
One of Sepp Dietrich’s throat ribbons he used for his Knight’s Cross with Oakleaves, Swords and Diamonds. Ex Wolfe-Hardin Collection<O</O
The unique construction of this ribbon allowed Dietrich to conveniently open his tunic’s collar without taking the whole ribbon and cross off. I was fortunate enough to acquire a bunch of photos from the Dietrich family last year where this ribbon can be identified just beautifully on close-ups.<O</O
          <O</O
          <O</O
          Right:<O</O
Custom-made Golden Sepp Dietrich Sleeve Eagle. Ex Wolfe-Hardin Collection<O</O
Unfortunately this bird suffered a bit. But what the heck, they don’t grow on trees, do they?<O</O
It’s probable this piece came off the M43 cap Dietrich he wore during the Ardennes offensive in the Winter of 1944 / 1945.<O</O
          <O</O
          <O</O
Background left and right ( I have this already for some years now):<O</O
New Years Greetings Card presented to SS-Oberst-Gruppenführer Sepp Dietrich, supreme commander of the SS-Panzer-Armee on December 31, 1944, signed by SS-Standartenführer Georg Janensch on behalf of the SS-Panzer-Nachrichten-Regiment 6. (Present given by Dietrich to a former Austrian comrade after the war)<O</O
          <O</O
The diamonds pictured to the left are only stand-ins of course.<O</O
          <O</O
A Golden cuff title is still on the wish list and will be added a little later!<O</O
          <O</O
          Fröhliche Weihnachten!!!<O</O

I was so surprised the other day when fellow member "RUIZ" commented over in the International Forum, that my Bulgarian Order of Bravery VI. Grade, 1st Class, was only awarded 77 times during World War II !

This one from the estate of Standartenführer Gustav Mertsch, Kommandeur SS-Panzer-Artillerie Regiment 1 "LSSAH".

                      Otto Kumm

I just stumbled over these last weekend:

Photos from my two trips to meet with my friend Otto Kumm, the last commander of the "Leibstandarte". With his significant insight he also helped with the biography of Theodor Wisch, which at that point was a distant idea still. Luckily I still retain our taped interviews.

                      Markus

pd: I lost some weight since then I just realized...

                        Otto Kumm

Interestingly both Otto and I lived in the same streets in Hamburg for some time. First "Hirschgrabenweg", where the very, very first HIAG meetings took place and then I moved to "Marienthalerstrasse", which is where Otto lived before the war.

Wow that is a cool medal, in a way its like a glassed in KVK with much nicer details!
So then Markus, how far along are you in tracking down the other 76 known awarded medals LOL!!!
