I present a new addition to my collection.
It's Journal of an official Civil War veteran ribbon bar with the following medals from left to right and from top to bottom:

1-Cross of military merit with distinctive red.
    2-The forefront campaign medal.
    3 & 4-Cross of war.
    5-Medal of peace in Morocco.
6 - Do medal sufferings for the homeland with Blue Ribbon?
7 & 8-cross of military merit with distinctive red.
    9 - Order of Cisneros?
10 - Constancy into the service?
11 & 12-cross of the order of San Hermenegildo.
13 & 14-cross of military merit with distinctive red.
    15-Italian war merit cross.
16-Order of the German Eagle with swords.
Pity about the plastic coating that is spent by the passage of time

Wow, never seen that before, quite a spectacular bar arrangement I assume you've noticed the swords are mounted upside down and for a military person that has some significance i.e. the sword tips poiting down is a sign of defeat. Still they can be found like this. I believe the Russions instituted a badge for the defeat at Vladivostok against Japan 1905 and my own former King did the same with the Royal Swedish Order of the Sword!!

        cheers
