You are absolutely right, lets leve it where it is, but want to clarify that the one being offensive is your firend, as you can see by the way he writes. Concerning the helmets, specialy the M40 and M42, well they were anylized when they were offred for sale, therefore I know where they come from and that is why I stated what I sadi , unfortunaltely this great thread thas been soemwhat tampered, but I hope it can continue
I am agree with you this post is more important that discuss helmets about Blue Division or not.
Please if continuos with this matter is more better to close it.
Pity for this matter, because in a little time is one of the most thread visit for a lot of people that want see things of the Spanish Blue Division and learn of this unit.
Good atmosphera is that I and jaime wants to this thread and is somebody don´t want it is more better not to participate in it.
I know what I know and have been where I have been. No doubts about my experience, and no doubt about my sincerity. Wen't to Russia only to help the Volksbund finding old cemeteries, and have done my job. Haven't brought nothing from a tumb. I know who do that, and even know their names.
I never said you were a thief, but if you have understood it so....

the only spaniard who has been helping seven years finding spanish soldiers from the Blue Division and has helped to find more than one thousand...many with their helmets, if you believe it or not ...ist mir wursch

Hi Carlos; I know that you are one of the writers of the book " Españoles en la Segunda Guerra Mundial ( El Frente del Este ) de Ricardo Recio cardona ediciones , Ediciones Vandalia. " and you help to other newspapers/ magazines and the Boletin Blue Division from Alicante.
I read this book and it is very interesting to know more thinggs about this unit.
I heard that you are in Rusia more than seven years helping to find soldiers of the Spanish Blue Division death in action.
Please if it is possible I am very pleasent to see your work there and thank you for help to find the Spainsh members of the Blue Division.
Are there any public museums in Spain which have Blue Division exhibits on display?
Allan
Allan unfortunately there are less and less to the present day, for example the army museum in Madrid hada great display of items, when I saw it for the first time, then it was moved to Toledo and the exhibit of blue division is pitiful, almost nothing.
then there is one in Oviedo, I am not sure if it still exhists, there was terh Museum of the blue Division Brotherhood but I think it clse doun, and there is also a small exhibit in a museum in mallorca, here is waht they have on the Museum of Flight in Madrid, and thorugh the thred there are photos of the museums I mentioned
There were also some monuments, some have been take en down unfortunaltely:
bare in Mind that the museums, have mostly personal items that the volunteers brought back with them and donated, such as insignia, dog tags, medals, doucments, photos, patches, some field gear, headgear. Rare thing are original EM/NCO uniforms that are 100% original, most out there are original put togethers.
