I wanted to show details of this relic, as you know the spaniards were given the decals and they applied them to the helmets and were issued helmets with and without decals, therofre we have DD (BD decla and heer) and also just seingle decal helmets, that either with just the BD decal or the Heereek:

In this case we have a clear example od a single BD decal helmet!!!

      Hi,

      Excelent collections.
I have always admired the Spanish Blue Division.
Jaime, as you may know circa 300 Portuguese Volunteers fought in the Spanish Blue Division.
Did you find any reference about these Portuguese volunteers? (Spanish Museums,Russian Museums,Russian cemiteries etc)

In my thread about the Portuguese Fascism, I made reference to these Portuguese Volunteers.

      Thank you

      regards
      Luis

Sorry Luis but this number is clearly wrong.
Not so many people born in Portugal fought in Russia in the Blue Div. In many years researching in the archives on this matter, just over 20 - 25 of them was found. And they had to have spanish nationality to be admitted in the Blue Division. Almost all of them arrived to the Division through the Spanish Legion, where several companys of strangers served. I´ve read a lot about this supposed hundreds of portuguese fighting in Russia in portuguese media, but no proof of this number has been given yet.
So, if you have something about it, please share it with us, but I have my doubt cause I think this evidences simply do not exist for more than these 20 spanish nationalizated portuguesse.
