Tokens from the Curragh camp Kildare Ireland

The Curragh camp was set up for german and allied airman that were shot down or crashed landed, here in Ireland. The tokens were made for use in the camp they are made of brass, and white metal. the design is very simple with the word CURRAGH above and date below 1940. The tunic and side hat are from the camp, and were found together in a house in Dublin after the war.

                  Luftwaffe from Ireland

Hi and welcome back to Luftwaffe from Ireland. Just to let you know what has been happening In our collecting world. Jim changed direction in the hobby and started collecting German world war one. As for myself I went dormant and lost a little interest. This has now changed with Jim now starting back from scratch and building his Luftwaffe collection back up. This in turn has gave me a boost and I have started actively collecting again. So look forward to posting from Jim & Paul. One last thing a big thank you from us for all your kind words of encouragement . Paul & Jim.
