Starting 2013 with a large bang and just in this morning from Germany is this named pow uniform grouping to Pz-Gren Rolf Becker

1st pattern Tunic, straight pants & boards all have the consistant ware of always been togeather as well as a strong odour of Tabbaco & and cologne.

Faint PW markings to arms and back of tunic which is in great condition and just the right amount of ware. Has its original applied Litzen and Chevron with removed breast eagle. Early Brown backed Shoulder boards although mismatched are only just and are stunning .

The straight trousers Dated F42 are in very nice worn condition , same musty smell as tunic in a good size. Seller was able to provide the owners Drivers licence with photo .

I think 2013 is of to a good start

              DAK Uniform Grouping

Greg, Fantastic uniform grouping, tunic has that very desirable faded look and colour with the right amount of wear along with killer shoulder boards. I especially like the fact that’s it’s a named group with province.
Thanks for sharing it with us
              Cheers MarkS

                Thanks Asper & Mark

The boards are very nice in hand which have real character and as you say Mark the tunic just has the right amount of ware and a nice colour shade...cant take my eyes of it at the moment. Often photo's dont do tropical tunics justice and only in hand do you really see the true shade.

The fact it was named was a true shock to me as seller didn't mention it in his discription so its a nice added bonus. Here are a couple more pics of the maker of the tunic and the guys Pow No' I hope to add some more info on Rolf Becker in time.

                    Thanks NCO,

Here are a couple more pics with helmet and cap. Photo at night makes the tunic look much more green than what it actually is. Previous photo's show it in its natural colour shade.

Fantastic grouping Greg, you've gotta be happy with that.
Glad that I passed on it because it has gone to a good home.

Here is one of my recent additions, the first for 2013.

                          Thanks Mark & Matt,

Mark they are stunning boards! are you sure you dont have a time machine

Still playing arround with new mannaquin set up and decided to tuck trousers into boots till I find some early breechs.
Have a nice pair of early shorts coming for my recon man and still to find a nice set of cordroy breachs. So the other two half mannaquins will eventually be fall size showing the variation of pants, etr.

                          Greg

                            They look fantastic Greg.
I really do need to get some decent mannequins and paint them up for displaying uniforms.

                            Regards,

                            Mark

Really outstanding group find Greg Tunic is really special being PW as well. Perhaps with time you will be able to find out which unit he served in ? Will a soldbuch fit into the upper pocket with the button closed ?

& Mark another great set of boards, especailly the fading.

Thanks again Mark & Tim, its always a work in progress. I'm never totally happy with my displays but thats half the fun . It can be an ever evolving prosess even today I added another cabinet in my room to allow for expantion.

And Tim top pockets are just a bit to small to take a paybook so likely a 41 tunic.
I'm definately working on finding his unit even if I have to get photo copies of his paybook...but the paybook would be the iceing on the cake

                                Cheers
