      great Matt ...

ciao Matt , great catch mate ... but considering " I collect: Sonderverbande 287/288 items, tropical items, pics of splinter camo, Pz. Grenadier items, Italian militaria " seems you can't collect a Panzer Afrika album with other stuffs :-D ... feel free to send everything here , I will be glad to buy them all ;-)

        Dave,

don't worry buddy I got at least 1 more sweetie in the mix due here next week and hopefully a second friend that should be enroute as well. Gotta see if I got it yet or not.

        Paolo,

well man what can I say when some of these things just land in your lap you gotta be on them like a fat kid on a cupcake. The cup/ring/calander I was very fortunate to get, thanks to a fellow member for allowing me to get first shot at these as I missed out on one of his Rommel signed documents some time ago and he remembered me, again THANK YOU! The photo album was a great addition again from Dion (munster) that man finds amazing things and he has contributed to my DAK collection like no other member. I swear he has a time machine and I appreciate all the great things he has hooked me up with and for being such an awesome cat. He helps all of our collections to grow and the fact that he gets his arse out of bed and off to estate sales and has his slew of pickers is just awesome. Thanks for the kind words and I will post the other guys when they arrive. Matt

Thats a very nice photoalbum. Too bad it looks like there used to be a TK on the cover but somebody felt the urge to remove it; or am I seeing things?

It does look as if there was a TK there. Great album Matt and other items and you Dave, more great stuff.

            Regards,

There was a beautiful M1/52 on there but Dion took it off to make sure it was good and sold it So if someone has a wonderful M1/52 skull that they could help me out with at a fair price so I can return this to its former glory I would be appreciative. Skull sold before I got the album and the price tag for the skull was around 1400 or so..... Matt

This is the skull that used to be on it. Matt

                  Matt,
Wonderful! I've seen this pattern Totenkopf on tunics in Africa...
If anyone would like to take a look, here's a new website dedicated to the war in North Africa -

                    Mark,

well there is hope that there may be a replacement skull coming for this great album. Its a M1/52 just waiting on some pics and will go from there. Wonderful tunic/pants/boots combo there my friend! Im still waiting on that Infantry officer tunic to make his way across the pond to come and hang out where he belongs Great stuff as always! Will post my newest addition sometime this week when it arrives. Matt

                      Thanks Matt!
Here's one of my favourite images. Obviously not the same totenkopf as yours, but variety is the spice of life, isn't it? Superb image.
Here's an interesting aspect to the breeches...

very cool pic. I have a pic of a STUG soldier wearing SS TKs on his collar tabs. Love how large that skull is on the lapel, you can see where the other one was on the other side. That is just a great officer pic! Matt

                            Hello,
I just got this German language version of Signal framed. It looks great with my pith helmet.

                            Regards,

This engraved stone was recently found in Algeria while digging the foundations for a house, in an area where there used to be a POW camp.
The finder asked me to help him locate the 'owner' of the stone, saying his initials O.W. were carved on it.
I told him that with only the initals, it wouldnt be resonable to expect to find anything out about the artist.
                              Still a very interesting stone!

                                JL,

very interesting stone! Wonder if it was a grave marker or done by a soldier with just some time on his hands. Matt
