Not bad! Now if you fix the white balance you are set...looks great. Do you have different white balance settings like TUNGSTEN, OUTSIDE, etc? Try different ones and see which looks most realistic.

Thanks for the advice, yes there are different white balance settings, i'll give them a go & if i've time will post the best result here. Just wish i could find the shutter speed! Need to buy a mini tripod too. Not very good with cameras, but this advice is really great
        Thanks, Ant.

The shutter speed is controlled in the MANUAL setting - you can not control it in auto everything mode. You can also use what is usually listed as the "TV" setting which chooses the best aperture for the shutter speed you want. You dial in the shutter and it does the rest.
            Best,
            Marc

                  Marc,
This studio is working very well so far
I'm still playing with the camera settings and experimenting, and having the controlled lighting makes a world of difference. A few shots......excuse the imitation
                  Regards,
                  Brian

                      WOW, superb results
So that's with the small studio box set up?
I just love the light it gives off, beautiful!

I have one of them studio light box things (Maplins were flogging 'em in their sale for £9.99p for the UK folks) - no lights though just the box.
To be honest I find the thing is nowt but a pain in the arse and nine times out of ten it gets booted across the room in disgust! I then revert back to using the camera on the tripod and natural light as I find for me personally I get better pics - I suppose if I persisted with the light box thing the results might improve...?
Here's one taken in front of the window and slightly tweaked a bit in PSP...
