If you could see it in person (no, you can't have it ), you would see that the lower loop is twisted around the pin and catch in a way that would nearly require cutting the loop to be able to fasten the pin in the clasp poperly-very strange.

When I get the badge (probably 6 months for now) I am going to put some little travel stickers on the back, kind of like luggage stickers. I will be able to put an Airplane, ship, and a donkey to go along with the Germany, England, New Zealand, and USA stickers.... my little world traveler...so far away, but always in my heart... ....I know, don't say it.

Hi, thank you very much. Here is a little preview for all of you WB fanatics of a cased example that should be here in about 3 days (if this one hasn't decided to take an around the world trip ). I will post better pics here when it arrives .

                    19 Obverse

A magnificient example of an early '30' in maker marked case. The pictures do not do any justice to the badge. The gold finish is absolutely incredible (and difficult to photograph). This is one of the finest WB's that I have ever encountered.

                                Swas...
Those are not scratches from wear on the arms of the swas...no, just hand finishing marks under the plating.
