Got lucky on eBay with this one (and the one below). The light green Nebenfarbe is one of the harder ones to find. Its for an Oberapotheker (1st Lieutenant of Pharmacists) of the High Grade Career. The rank pip is also of the plastic/resin composition.

First one with brown Nebenfarbe I've been able to find. Probably for a Non-Technical Teacher at a Professional School, including personnel of the Military Orphan Institution at Potsdam. Could also be for the Barracks Administration, but that branch was transferred in 1936 to the Standard (Paymaster) branch.Comment

Cuff and collar patches for the waffenrock of a signals EM/NCO. What makes these nice is that they are of the hand-embroidered variety. I'm still looking for a nice example of a dress tunic with this type of insignia.Comment

Well, the latest addition to the bunker is....kid's furniture.
I kid you not (pun intended).
My wife is a center director for one of the day care center chains. Starting last month, the company decided to close the center she was assigned to. As a result, I managed to pick up some furniture to use for display. This stuff is some of the best made furniture I've run across. It all survived 20 years in a day care center - gotta be tough to do that! (In spite of that, it was all destined for the dumpster.) Anyway, after a gallon of furniture stripper, lots of sanding pads and more hours and sweat than I care to remember, I managed to get the old finish off and stain it to match the wood in the bunker. All those kids really gave it some 'character.'

Before someone asks, the large shell casing on the left isn't from an 88. It's a U.S. 90mm round that was fired from an M48A2C main battle tank. I know, 'cause I fired it.

This little bugger took a lot of work. Originally it had bright red plastic drawer pulls. I made the ones that are on there now. Nothing fancy, but you can never have enough storage.....Comment
