These last two boards were posted in here quite some time ago back with the uniforms, but I thought I'd stick them in again just to have all the general officer boards together. This first one is on a Heeres Feldbluse mit Vorstossen (Army Piped Field Service Tunic).

Last one. For a Generalintendant [Generalmajor] of the Wehrkreisverwaltung und Intendantur [Military Area Administration and Intendant's Service]. The 'V-s' are dark green.

Got to love the General officer stuff. I really like the Administrative General - and it's even on a tunic

GERMAN ARMY SHOULDER STRAPS AND BOARDS - 1933-1945

Well, my camera is STILL at the repair shop, so I've decided to post something different in the interim - stamps. Yes, stamps. Now don't go screaming off into the sunset quite yet. Not thousands of stamps, just two sets.

In '43 and '44 the Third Reich produced two series of stamps for the 21 March War Heroes and Army Day. What I find interesting about the sets are that they depict all the branches of the Wehrmacht and are kind of a window into the propaganda of the times.

The first series is for 1943. This is a type VIIA U-boat.
