For a Leutnant assigned to an Infanterie Heeresunteroffizierschule. I don't know for sure which garrison town is designated by the D. There were 65 different such locations during the war. (I have the pair.)

One of the 'Holy grails' of strap & board collectors. For the Reichsgrenadierdivision 'Hoch- und Deutschmeister', worn by the Divisional Headquarters and the Reichsgrenadierregiment 'Hoch- und Deutschmeister' (44th Infantry Division, 134th Grenadier Regiment). Commonly called the Stalingrad Cross.Attached Files

Well, let's take a break from straps & boards for a bit. Don't know how much interest there will be in this stuff, but what the hell - damn the torpedoes....
What's up next are some Kriegsmarine patches. Won't post them all (THAT would invite a visit from the Evil Sebatron ), but will limit to some of the rarer ones and those with high quality embroidery.
Have three of these early rank patches for a Stabsgefreiter (Seaman 1st Class). The insignia with the loop was used in the early 30’s only.Attached Files

This is one of the rarer ones. For an Oberstabsmaschinistengast (Engine Personnel Seaman 2nd Class). Called an Oberstabsheizer if a stoker on a coal or oil fired ship. The pip and one chevron were only used from 28 January 1935 to 17 October 1936, and then only if inducted after 31 March 1934.Attached Files
