For an enlisted man from the 6th Panzer Regiment. The 6th Panzer Regiment was with the 3rd Panzer Division under Generalmajor Fritz Bayerlein, home station Berlin, Wehrkreis III. Fought in Poland, Belgium, France. In Russia since start of Barbarossa.

This strap is pictured in Mike Pruett's Field Uniforms of German Army Panzer Forces in World War 2 on page 263, Plate 2.3 (photo is a bit dark, unfortunately).

Egad! This is the first time I've been able to look at this thread as my home computer takes forever to open a picture. What a shock. It looks like Dave stripped down a division to their skivvies and confiscated their duds. I've never seen a collection from one man this extensive. It could take days to look at all this stuff. What amazes me most is that it is in multiple rooms! I've got part of room to try to cram my stuff into (sadly, it all fits).
