      Hi Marcin,
Sorry I didnt see your update until now. Awesome to see the other amazing photos that came in the group! A special grouping, and thanks for sharing it with us. Im glad a unit ID was made to our photos, and Panzerjager Abt 670 makes perfect sense. Thanks again my friend.

That early Hornisse with the "self propelled gun unit" marking (on the fender) with white-filled "track" is from s.P.560, if I remember correctly? Very nice picture indeed!

Most modellers out there, older than 45 know "Kohlenklau" Marder II because it was chosen as the box art of Tamiya Marder II kit.

                          http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fi...rder_II%22.jpg

It's the gun of Uffz. Helmut Kohlke, DKiG (MIA).

The image, along with the word "Kohlenklau", was of course burnt deeply inside my memory. One of the questions I asked on the ancient WWII-L mailing list (in 1990's) was about the Kohlenklau, which was responded by a knowledgable NZ friend, referring a book "NS-Deutsch".

P.561 carried "IA" symbol as a Berlin unit. Kohlke (3.Kp.)'s gun carried a triangle symbol. Other Kompanien carried different shape according to Schmitz/Thies, namely rectangle and circle.

Years after, I finally came across a P.561 album. Inside it was a circle-IA Marder II in winter camouflage. You can image how much I was pleased to acquire it
