Y straps themselves look ok (although 0007 RB number always is suspicious, but it does exist!!)
but I do agree, pictures are a bit "shiney".....
I would like to see more pics of the backstrap !

They have exacly the same fake RB Nr ( 0/0378/0007) as many faked items but not everything which has 0007 at the end in RB Nr is fake ; for example I have stone mint winter boots with double markings - with full name of maker and RB Nr at the same time - with RB Nr ending 0007, but the rest of RB Nr is completly diffrent ( mine is 1/1255/007 - maker POLICKY RIEKER ), which are 1000% original boots.
So not everything with RB Nr ending 0007 is fake . Also well known and mostly faked RB Nr (0/0378/0007) is most probably real one, from wartime existing company.
Those Y-straps in link looks ok to me.

The pics are also very shiny....
Siton, Ask the seller for better pictures, especially on that funny looking backstrap.

Imho the backstrap and the support hooks are different. The rest are the same. Down to the shape of the holes for the main support hooks, the sloppy sewing on the auxiliary straps and the stitching on the D-rings on top. imho it is the same thing. I would love to know the other details wich are not mentioned by me above that make these good and mine bad.
Thanks.

Ah, I'm sorry
These were dealt with before in another thread: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...=720869&page=2
Well, I still have my doubts about them.... sorry to say
But then again it's just my opinion, for what it's worth.........
So for the record, I'm not saying they are fakes, but I really would like to have them in hands..... If they are real, they are indeed the most minty example I've ever seen !

Better pictures of the current strap on Estand will clear more....

1. I can't inspect the rivets on the one featured on the E-stand because they are taken with too much light.
2. The shape is the same. The thickness? Leather is a natural product. Naturally the leather on a sheet isn't the same thickness everywhere. If you look at other Y-straps you can see variations in thickness. I have one wich has one of the main straps thicker then the other.
I'm sorry but it is the same manufacture, the same cut, but a later model. That explains the simplified hooks and the rear strap.

That might be so, but still these Y straps are the same. They are either, both wonderful condition unmolested Y-straps or both fakes!
Imho, still they are good.
If you have a good source and details wich proves these are repro please tell me, if you don't want to put the details in the thread PM me!
