That is truly a great set!!!
After reading this thread I now know I really like to get a set of Gurten to carry the stretcher, but I already know that that will be quite difficult.
So, if there is a forum member who has a set and wants to sell them, please let me know, because I had the chance to buy a Hälftengleiche Feldtrage in Tan with blue/grey canvas last week.
So I went to the person who had it for sale, when I saw it, I knew I had to have it.
It origins is the city of Nijmegen, and because I travel mainly by public transport, people in the train looked at it wondering what it is...
It has some old improvised repairs to the canvas but that is a condition that I really like, it has been out there.
Today I have started to unknot the ropes of one of the halves and took the canvas of the metal with purpose of cleaning the metal with a lightly moisturized cloth and vacuum clean the canvas, due to the richness in dust.
A beautiful paint came underneath it.
I will post some photo's in a new thread after cleaning it properly.

I can imagine the strange look on the people in the train...... didn't you have to buy an extra ticket for your passenger ??

And I can imagine that you would have wanted the straps.... a lot easier to carry as these stretchers are heavy

I'm sorry I can't help you to get some straps.... still looking for one loose strap myself to complete my other stretcher

Will this be the start of your Sanitäter collection ?? Or do you already have more Sani stuff

I already own several medical items, it started of with an empty Verbandkasten i have bought about three years ago, and now i am filling it up with all kinds of medical nick-hacks, like bandages and so.
In the beginning of this year I was able to purchase a really nice empty Feldlazarett Kasten(7) in tan, it is one of my favorite items for now!
If you do not mind I will place a couple of photos of the pieces here...

I was lucky to buy this one for almost nothing ( the guy had three )

It was a "Dachbodenfund" in a place that used to be a Krankenstelle in the Northern part of Germany near Wilhelmshafen

The stretcher is dated 1938 and has alu rings, and what's even better, it comes with the carying belts !!!
