    San. Feldwebel 44 dated gascan

    Ciao a tutti
I'm going to refresh my gasmask collection, so something need to go. Before the selling on estand, I'd like your opinions about this gascan.
I bought it a long time ago, and I've never been sure the red lettering is original, but never say never, so I decide to post it for discussion.
Let me know your opinions, please.
    Thanks.

          Hi Giancarlo

I can't tell if the writing is original..... but the question I ask myself:

Why would the person write his name with ae instead of ä

With typewriters there sometimes is no way of putting an "umlaut" above a letter, thats why sometime the ä is typed as ae.

          So I would expect Dräger....

But maybe Draeger (with ae) is an official german name... I don't know

                Thanks Dirk

So no problems in the name....

Giancarlo.... it looks a little bit like there is green paint under the red letters.... or is it just my eyes
