I should have been more clear, I was referring to the two Polizei Decke I posted on page 2.
And then there are these white blankets with blue stripes .
I have had 4 of these ,1 as here marked Luftwaffe, 1 plain one and 2 SS ones. Yeah I know, red flag 'SS'. I am posting these in hopes some one may be able to shed some light on this style and if they are correct or fabricated.
All 4 of these that I have had came out of Germany as did a 5th one I did not purchase. Thoughts?
Thanks, Michael
Here are two that are grey with single white stripe on each end that I believe are issue blankets too. However, always wanting to be corrected if wrong.
I got both from Germany. Michael
Of course, and they carry them in their typical unique way:
Genosse, These are First world War Images, The Red Army didn't issue blankets for the field, you had a Shelter half and Greatcoat to act as the liner to make up your Sleep sack, Respirator Bag as a pillow and you thrust your end of the sleep sack around your feet into your back pack to seal the complex.
The thick Horse shoe rolls are Greatcoats, thin ones Shelter halves.
