These cigar boxes have been around for years and in great quantity. I remember a few years ago when dealers where giving these away they had so many. The story I always heard was that they came from old unused stock, this seems to make sense as everyone I have seen is always empty.

Usual fakery, there is a lot of these out there (the boxes) so some jerk wants to have fun with it and rip people off. I am curious to see what this guy put on the inside...

He sells this packages since weeks! And do you see his other auctions!

This is my favorite. East German, stamped up nice for the collector that thinks and demands that everything in his collection be dated, marked, etc...

        Typical.

I can not understand why collectors in the times of internet buy such things?

Dirk, They buy such things because they believe in their minds that everything German WW2 was marked with Swastikas, dated, waffenamt'd, etc. They could also be new and naive collectors. Sadly, this is too common and the reason why we see the Scho-Ka-Kola like Lederfett tins, Wehrmacht marked toothbrushes, etc etc.... The problem is that too many of these items have now landed in collector's books giving them even more "authenticity" and its then hard to tell collector's that they are in fact 'Fake'. ...

The 1942 manual "Taschenbuch fuer den Winterkrieg" included instructions for making a tent oven out of this type of marmelade pail.

Some ration-related items. The fish ration tin is dated 1942 and the glass jar is the Bourzutschky "Nur fuer Nahrungsmittel" type as seen on page 158.
