I haven't been able to make sense of the markings on the cheese containers yet. There has to be something out there that explains them. I was hoping one of our German speaking collectors might be able to resolve the mystery. They might be maker codes but thats only speculation. Jim

Jim, i think they are period, the same colors as the Butterdosen.
A question, on some cheese packages in your book and on some packages here showed are "codes", like on my "Elite" the "B 1540", i think these are the makers, what do you think?

I think it`s a makers code, i have some cheese labels from the estate of a printing factory, all different, but 2 are with the same "code". I will show them later ...
