Hello, just bought this in "near mint" condition P08 holster but the leatehr tool holder at the inside is missing. Does anyone know if this was done on a regular base? In my opinion normally these leather tool holders allways were sewn in these holsters.

The earliest P38-holsters look almost identical to P08-ones

It is difficult to determine if a P38 magazine would fit in the pouch on the side. Do you have one to see if it fits? It looks nothing like a hardshell P38 holster, either military or commercial style like the Swedish and police issue. I do not care for the WaA stamp, as the outline of the stamp head is clearly visible and there is neither a manufacturer name or code.
But commercial holsters for the P08 in 7.65 mm Parabellum were produced and sold my such retailers as Geco and Akah. Although this holster does not bear an Akah stamp, I would not rule out a commercial issue from the late 1920s or early 1930s. And the tools were military issue, not commercial.
So perhaps someone embellished an older commercial holster into a military issue for more money.
