    Hi David,
Seeing reversed colours on a zelt would be the first time for me. I think that would be an extremely rare variant and one I would love to see.

Apologies if my explanation was confusing with your zelt. Your observation is correct though - it is still miss aligned rollers that leave that unprinted white line.

    Cheers
    Mark

Thanks for the detail on the Webber and Ott maker Mark appreciated, you guys still working on your zelt book?

cracking zelts Hans, have seen the unusual colour one once before on a uk dealers site, thats a nice one, too bad about the buttons but could be a project for you to replace them

A friend picked this book up for me at Beltering, have not seen it yet, its on its way over, anyone seen this before

Congrats on your book find John,
Its a great zelt book you picked up. Werner has a copy which is the only one Ive seen - been looking for one myself. Super reference for all the different German zelts used during the war with great technical info on many of them. If memory serves me there is a lot of info taken directly from German manuals on specific styles.

Let me know what you think when you get it
          Cheers

My latest one, already from some months back.

Mark, it's a pity you did not see this one, I found it some time after your last visit to Werner.

Beautiful zelt Jan and I know the zelts in your collection are always the minty mint ones. This ones super and I especially like the 2 different prints and colour contrats between the 2 large panels. From the photos its difficult to tell but not only are the colours different but the rain strokes appear different. This could possibly mean the fabric came from either different print runs or different printing factories and it is very unusual to see a zelt built with different large panels. It is also good indication that sewing factories were getting fabric from different printing factories.

Here is a pic from the same maker with the wording a little clearer for interest sake. Not a common maker.

              Thanks for sharing this one.
              Cheers

I'm the person David, 'Hans Zeug', mentioned speaking with at Beltring.
Marcin, we can all make mistakes, but my opinion is in this case, there was no confusion between BGS-Sumpfmuster & Splitter variant.
The auction # on eBay.de was 160617245775. If anyone is interested, they can see what they think for themselves.
The zelt images have already disappeared from the auction page, but I archived the only two along with the headline image:

                  Hi Jon,
Was wondering about that zelt - I dont think this is reversed colours but a colour variant with lime yellow green instead of the forest green that is more common. The other colours are also off.

Have seen several of this particular colour variant now and believe it must have been a specific run of fabric.

I take it you didnt buy the zelt - a shame - they are nice.
Thanks for clearing that up and great to see the photos.
                  Cheers

Great Idea John - thankyou. This is one I would love to have in my collection and sorry I missed the auction - was camping that week.

Does anyone know the winner of the auction - would like to get some reference photos of this zelt possibly for the book.

                        Cheers

Hi, this is my recent purchase on local german flohmarkt, it is hard to show a very nice colors variant (without daylight - my lack of time ) but believe me, this zelt does have them but what`s more it has also very interesting camo pattern ...

                              Hi Marcin,
I like the colours a lot on this zelt but I really like the stamp. A new mnfg for me. Difficult to make out the top line - are you able to do that?

What do you find interesting about the camo pattern?

                              Cheers

Yes Mark, the zelt maker is also for me a new one. It is hard to read the first line: Geor v. A ....... ???

By camo pattern I ment the empty spaces between brown and green blocks.
