    the belt loops are reworked
Nice Norwegian army made pouch! The modification to the belt loops came when the army changed to US pistol belts in the 50's. These pouches are most often found sewn with red threads.

There is no problem bringing evidence into the matter, but I as most other collectors hate to share too much info with the fakers.
-The allready pointed out postwar chromed D-ring that has never before been seen on original German WW2 pouches.
-The leather texture that is close, but still too "fat" compared with German WW2 pouches
-The single row stitches of the strap arrests, non-typical of German WW2 pouches
-The sewing technique used on the closing straps is only known from 1 manufacturer of German WW2 pouches, and this pouch is not made by the same manufacturer as all other details are totaly wrong!

Adrian followed his instincts and did the right thing! The reason we have this forum is to discuss matters and find out what is right and what is wrong. If someone feels that it is closing in on "Fakemania" only because they have done a bad deal / been fooled that is just sad!
The items we judge here and let slip through makes up a presedence for tomorrow!

STOP NOW WITH THE " FAKEMANIA"

I see no problems with this one
The P08 holsters comes from Norway, but you are right on the rest.
The foldable entrenching tools are also out of Norway, but you are right on the rest.
All mp pouches with modified loops behind are NOT POSTWAR , BUT some of them are!
The German WW2 pouches had too narrow belt loops for the US-pistol belt, so some got the upper seam removed, and some had new web-loops added! The main Norwegian replacement pouch was made of green, grey or brown leather, but early examples were canvas copies of the German pouches, made with the same width of belt loops before the new belt was introduced. These are rather rare, but can be seen now and then on the market sold as originals!

          Well said
this is discussion forum and not "killing items" forum - Ade did what He should do...
for me this pouch looked like fake from first pictures We had on hand... on later pictures - like I said before - it looked better - showing honest ageing, good leather etc...

still - shiny Ring for me is not something I'v never seen on any last ditch gear. I am with Bergflak on this one - not a fake - but most likely post war made pouch.
