Great canteens!!!
Maybe shall post mine someday, but its nothing speciall (Fake strap, original bottle from the first battlefield on eastern front where they used the tiger II and a pretty abused cup for it)
Hi guys, I just got one in yesterday with a webbing strap marked Drp.ang/HRE 41. No pics yet, but I guess that's another maker you can add to the list? Greg

Hi Greg, is that all on the metal part of the strap?
hmm.... this one poped up on polish auction yesterday..
hmm... markings look well - the way they are made ..... but it's hard to believe that something like that existed at all... comments ???
1934 ?? ss made.. shouldnt be RZM marked (WHAT YEAR RZM WAS INTRODUCED - 1934 ?? I GUESS)
While there's a good thread going on canteens, I've been trying to get opinions on some canteens I see alsmost daily here in Germany. I posted these once before but I guess it didn't generate much interest. These are always claimed to be HJ by the owners, but look nothing like the examples I've seen accepted as such. Rarely are they marked or dated but I've read this is not unusual for political equipement. So give them a look and let me know what you all think. One more detail the buttons on the covers usually have the same pattern as the buttons on other HJ items. Thanks Greg
Thought I would bring this thread back to life with the addition of a new find. A late '44 dated steel enameled canteen, with a unique green painted aluminum cup.
