Not German WW2 issue boots. Civilian, foreign or postwar even. I have a pair similar to these. I always wondered what the leather basketball patches covered, if anything.

              Hello Gerard,

Some gathering of boots you got there, very impessive!

Do you know if there were german lowboots where the stitching was reinforced with metal studs?

              Thanks in advance,
              Raf

Hi.Do You mean useing metal nails instead of wooden pegs?
In that case, haven`t seen yet and most unlikely they did, IMO. Maybe some experimentations were carried. Who knows.

                Cheers

                  Hello Kass,

No I mean metal reinforcing on the upper stitching of the boots, where the tongue and the eyelets start.

                  Thanks,
                  Raf

although they look quite convincing it looks like they miss the linnen thread at the bottom. See in the red lines. I believe all the German knobelbecher and Schuhe had this feature.

                        Regards Peter

                        Hi Gerard/Relic Hunter,
can I know your opinion about the question of the presence of the stitching on the sole of the low boots?
Low boots without these stitching are german low boots ww2?
                        Thanks
                        Daniele
