    Deschler skull

    Hi guys
Just wanted to verify that with the experts that these 2 are good Deschlers, other than poorly stored?
    Thanks in advance

                Both Totenkopfs in terrible condition,
                but conform to originals.
I would think they are originals, but I am sorry for the poor quality of both.
Hard to tell in such condition, but compared to originals, they have all the hallmarks to be real!!!

                    Peter,
I am more than ok! Just had a stellar report from my doctor.
These totenkopfs look like originals in my collection,
My only regret is the rust all over them. That is what I lament. They look like originals, that have had the rust eat the **** out of them. But they look real!
And - Yes Peter, I am ok!

                        Rust ? Where
Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

                          Ok,
Now I see you point, Peter.
What looked like rust on my tiny phone screen, looked completely different when looked at on the PC!
All apologies, Mike! These little beauties are fine and legit. Possibly ground dug, or just aged and uncleaned, as suggested by the others. These are the real deal. What I thought was rust was just the color of the metal!
What is really cool is that they are in such similar condition!

Peter, my eyesight isn’t what it used to be, cornea transplant recently and need another. Pardon my blunder.
                          Nice find, Mike!

The skulls posted here are made of zinc and have plenty of white zinc pest, (corrosion), on them from the ground elements. What I'm trying to say, is that rust is found on iron/steel products and looks different than zinc corrosion. If you see rust on the steel surface of an SS skull or eagle, you will know that it is for sure fake, because there were no steel originals. Of course, prongs are a different story, as they did use some original steel made prongs on them late in the war.

                            Hope this helps!

                            Chris
