Do you have more interior photos of the panzer overseas cap? If so, you should post it in the Cloth Headgear section. The cap looks promising, from the few photos you have posted, and has a good skull. It would not be too hard acquire a good eagle to put on the cap, if it is original.

Hello Paul , thank you for taking the time to follow up on this for me. I believe the current own2of thd cap is watching this thread and his intentions are to restore the cap with the right eagle now. I will ask his permission to post elsewhere.

Note on the fake bird that the welt surround does not follow the circular outline of the wreath into where it meets the legs/feet but goes straight up to the lower feathers, also it has bake ankles. A very easy fake to spot.
