What is the story where this came from?

WOW.
So now we have concrete proof of their authenticity! Since Czestochowa is such a remote, forgotten little town in Poland, the only way one can explain such a discovery is that it must have been left behind by a "Minsk Film" filming crew who was filming a movie that got lost to time in their vast storage facilities.

Are these a criteria by which you authenticate items in your collection?

One thing that really stinks about the forums is when other viewpoints are subject to personal attacks , name calling and general belittlement. This the exact reason many serious collectors don't post which is a loss for all concerned.

You can say that, but Charlie Snyder had real items too. In my book he is a crook and I would say it is very naive to believe whatever he might say where he got that smock from, or where it was found if you ask him.

Cap is made of real SS zelt. When it was made is anybody's guess...

Pinks are underpriced because these are disputed, misunderstood, blemished, whatever way you want to label/categorize
these old rodent damaged mystery items! One was offered last week on the web for $12K btw...

I rather spend that kind of silly money on my car hobby, not these old rags tbh! I rather own a pinky and 300HP + 400HP
+ a Jeep + its grandfather, the original Jeep. I should re-upholster the seats in Plantanenmuster! Would look cool!

this one is on eBay for more than 1 year... Proposed at the time 4799 usd, now reduced to... 2899 usd.


If the seller is said to be from Poland, it doesn't imply it was originally found there.

Oh and a French collector was just badly burned by his "original" items...

Mixed bag...he offers good and bad...Ask yourself... Don't they all?...Means absolutely nothing! This set of ersatz made G43 pouches that he is ALSO offering,
was found in the east (Ukraine) and still retaining the Soviet era applied black preservation paint, coated on the aluminum parts. Such pouches were never encountered
in the West until the wall came down. Same story... 1 hoard from 1 location. I remember the doubters saying that all the Dachau depot patches had to be fake,
so many so new looking all unissued. G43 pouches were unissued, smocks were unissued and Dachau shields were unissued. it happened. ALL found in storage,
patterns in non conforming materials, that didn't reach the troops. Find me a wartime picture of this pouch in use. I challenge you!
