    The rest is. IMHO.

When all these aspects come together that's awesome!

Yes, the greatcoat with a belt I have never come across on a period photo of his and I have a few unpublished ones here. But, be it as it may, it was Wittmann's. How many personality uniforms are undocumented on photos. I think it's normal.

    Cheers,

Indeed... you do not need to be wittmann, and vet can go through his old stuff... there may be pics of him wearing 5% of the articles... all the rest would be considered "undocument" to us...

please find below from my archives the "official" promotional ad of the fake Wittmann items proposed from late June 2018 outside of the eMedals website.

                "Please contact for details".
                Yeah right !

I remember seeing this and always wondering what happened to it. Did they not know it was faked or did they put the fakes out themselves?

This appears to be the tunic that he wore to the Tiger factory.

if i was a naughty boy, i may have said that it was a good way to sell anonymously those items said to be from Wittmann's estate without having any problems if those were proposed on auction...
Maybe the crook/(fooled) collector asked eMedals to use this method.

                      Rob -

IMO it's not the same tunic as worn at the Henschel factory in Kassel. Different pocket constellation. I've been offered another one once and passed.

                      No provenance - no go.

There's too many frausters out there manipulating tunics. Considering the profit margins a very lucrative business for many.

@ Chen: Who's the dealer here and is there any firm/real provenance?

                      Cheers,
                      Markus

pd: I just remembered that I have Michel's pocket diary which he wore in his tunic the day he visited the factory and made notes there.

He’s also wearing a similar tunic when he’s standing next to a car with his right foot on the car.

                          Markus,

BTW, according to the source, the same fellow bought the medal group together with the tunic from the widow. Requested the widow to staple her signature onto it. Get everything certified in lawyer office.
That tunic was the one which Wittmann wore in the tank factory.

Sorry to resurrect an older thread but I was curious if there are any pictures of Michael's medals in Normandy? are they one display? if so where?

I was reading here these were the medals he was wearing when he was killed, and discovered when he was found? or was it from the farmers who buried him? just curious how they came to end up in normandy

                              thanks!

Is is DEFINITELY the same tunic as he wore at the Tiger factory, and where he stands on the side of the car.
The pockets are the same also.
I have pics where this tunic is still lying on the table together with his medals at the widows house.
Besides that, there’s a flaw in the stitching that can be seen in high resolution pictures from that day that I own.
It even has the original medals on the tunic as the ones that were on it when the collector picked up the KC, Oakleaves and swords from the family.

So it’s time you send me the diary so I can reunite it with the rest
