I’ve seen old uniforms and clothing come out of old houses with strange wear and tear - this stuff looks terrible so how any faker thinks this is a money maker is beyond me - maybe it’s a real find of old trashed SS stuff...

I think it‘s a private purchase original. Sometimes a strange cut made items. Cannot see the reason of such a artifical tricks, destroyng the original cuff title and armband. Finding original parts, making nice high shaped hat with such a strange liner, at least expirienced and talented knowledgeable idiot tailor must be there. The price of this ensemble will not go high, and most probably a ilttle bit more than all original insignia there

I find it odd the brassard is still pure white , it should be very yellow in tone , the jacket has a odd weave in the pictures also ?? , and the rzm tag on the shoulderboard shows no age ? Odd ??

as mentioned in another post to you, I am not sure have enough back ground experience on such material. No matter it is moth eaten or mint, we know in both cases some collectors got fooled with.

The cap is a weird oddity regardless of whether it's SS or postman or whatever the hell it's supposed to be.

But if the current owner is happy with it and the rest, so be it.

I don't normally put any comment, on things, like this but from the first pictures I could tell fakes or put together, mix maybe of original and copies. I have seen some nut cases pay $000000000 for hats and jackets in this condition. I would say it was made for film or theatre made. There was an officers flight blouse for sale at the war and peace show eaten to the bone, and someone bought it. I think it was £900-00stg.
