SS Officer Sleeve Eagle Opinions Please

    Hello,

This eagle is available on the next History Hunter Auction. I'd appreciate opinions. This eagle seems to be similar to one featured in a post made by biohazard69 on 3/13/18. The eagle was referred to as a Sieder Fake. This one is missing the stamping on the reverse and eagle features are different but on the surface the construction and backing seem similar. Anyway, looking forward to comments and the learning experience.

    Regards,
    Tim

Had a similar one from a member in Italy. Had no unterlagen, so I returned it. New generation of fakes... sorry to say.

                Grsss

We must know if it has an unterlagen. Can not see one from pics.

Although very well executed, I have serious doubts on this one.

It's not real....... being modern machine stitched. Back is pressed glued and not at all consistent with originals. Had the back been removed it might have needed a second look. But as John said.......the stitching is tightly pulled to the edges as a machine would have stitched it. The eyebrow, when present is usually a seprate stitch Good fake, but still a fake IMO.

When you know whats important, and if you cant see an unterlagen from images posted, there are signs...
