Very unusual tabs...
They were originally machine stitched onto a collar at one stage as witnessed by the black stitching still visible around the front of them.
Then they were removed from a tunic and had the piping added with green thread. (but the black machine stitch thread on the front wasn't removed??)
Then they had the brass press studs added (over the top of the piping??) with black thread.
Then the pips were added with the prongs also bent over the piping.
Unusual to say the least, but the basic tabs themselves are good without doubt IMO.
When they ended up in this final configuration is anyones guess.
