I haven't seen one like this before . . .
But looking carefully at the construction and detail I'd give this a thumbs up

Even though I don't know a whole lot about these I would agree with David's assessment. My first thought was construction looks good but I don't recognize it.

A very good construction indeed, but fakes today come in many shapes and forms, I would wait for an experts view before purchase...

Ok. Thanks. The eagle was also posted on another forum (German helmet Walhalla) and was given a thumbs up as Dachau style eagle and was legit.

So, I guess the patch is in that grey area. Some yes, some maybe and some NO.

I do have a 5 day inspection.

Would better or closer photos help at all?

I can also bring the eagle to Louisville for a hands on inspection ifr that could help prove anything?

I would like to dare to know the why on this particular one. I know I know , don't give the fakers any help but throw me a bone

Is it all because of the construction , or is it because it does not look like known examples that people don't like it ?

I don't have a dog in the fight, doesn't matter to me if its fake but would like to learn from it.
